1. What is the Shelf Life of VIRGIN Coconut Oil?

Our samples of VIRGIN coconut oil have not shown any signs of rancidity even after 3 years.

3. What is the difference between VIRGIN & COPRA?

If you buy regular coconut oil, chances are it came from dried copra. This usually sits in a warehouse and gets oiled after a few months. This is bleached and deodorized. This is why there is no coconut aroma. High heat is also used which is why this type of oil is yellowish in color.

VIRGIN coconut oil is cold-pressed immediately upon opening of the coconut. The oil is extracted before the fermentation process sets in. It is normally bottled or packed within 8 hours from the time the nut is opened. This is not bleached nor deodorized, maintaining the freshness and the sweet coconut scent It will also be clear as water in liquid form because no high heat was used in it’s processing.

Some people still use the old fermentation process, which is expelling the coconut milk then letting the coconut milk sit for 20 to 36 hours to allow the natural fermentation process to separate the oil. This process turns the oil sour and has a short shelf life due to the high moisture content. This home made oil is alright for home use, if the oil will be used immediately. The shelf life of this type of oil is two weeks to a maximum of two months. This type of oil turns rancid in a short period of time because of the high moisture content.

4. What is Organic VIRGIN Coconut Oil

All Philippines coconut trees used to be ORGANIC. Today however, we are SAD to SAY that the Philippines Coconut Authority has started promoting the use of fertilizer on the coconut trees to improve the yield of nuts from the coconut trees.

If you are buying ORGANIC, ask for the Organic Certification.

If you are purchasing VIRGIN COCONUT OIL then the VCO must be clear as water and have a sweet coconut scent. If is not clear as water and does not have a mild coconut aroma then you know it is not VIRGIN COCONUT OIL.

Fermented Coconut Oil will have a Sour and Rancid smell. Some producers will also try to filter their fermented VCO in charcoal to try to remove the sour smell but instead that process gives the VCO a burnt smell and taste.

So, do a smell and taste test.

Not all Virgin coconut Oil are alike. Just like not all Coconuts are Organic.

5. What are the attributes of Coconut Oil?

Coconut oil is one of the most stable oils and is highly resistant to rancidity (It is the unsaturated fats in the common seed oils that are easily oxidized and susceptible to rancidity). It is stable because of its high proportion of saturated fats. Coconut oil is mild on the skin and is widely used in the tropics. Film-forming qualities allow it to act as a skin moisturizer and a protectant against moisture loss. Its natural detergency and lathering capabilities give a double purpose as a cleansing agent for soaps and shampoos.

How to use Coconut Oil

• As cooking oil, it is ideal for use, having a high resistance to heat, and the ability to remain whole without losing its chemical composition despite exposure to high temperatures.
   

• As salad oil, its essential ingredients give it an exotic taste. Create you own salad oil by adding vinegar and other spices.
   

• A hair conditioner, it embellishes the hair, leaving it soft and silky.
  (In certain countries, the pulp is used as a balm to stimulate hair growth; a small amount of virgin coconut oil massaged into the scalp at night conditions both the hair and scalp.
   

• As a massage oil and body lotion, it leaves skin soft and smooth, relieving dry skin itchiness and other skin diseases, making the skin supple.
  (It is used to make Monoï for example, an ancient Tahitian word meaning "scented oil" in the reo-maohi language, made from Tiare Gardenia blossoms and coconut extract from the Cocos Nuncifera variety. It is more popularly known now as a natural skin care product used by the island dwellers of French Polynesia. The elderly of the Philippines have used raw coconut oil as their before or after bath lotion for hundreds of years.)

How do I purchase online at www.naturesblessings.com.ph?

First, after browsing through the site, choose the items you want to buy and simply put these products into the shopping cart by clicking on the "Add to Shopping Cart" button. Simply add products to your shopping cart until you are ready to check out. 

Second, when you are ready to check out, review the contents of your shopping cart by clicking on the "Shopping Cart" icon. This will allow you to view the list of products you have ordered, and the corresponding prices. This also enables you to add or discard products. Remember to click the "Update" button to remove items you don't want, to ensure that the correct summaries and amounts are listed. 

Third, after reviewing and finalizing your shopping list, click on the "Check Out" button. This will confirm the final contents of your shopping cart the total number of products, the corresponding amounts, and shipping charges. We will also require the following information:

After making my online purchases, how will I know whether my orders have been processed? 

Natures Blessing Inc. is fully aware that accuracy and promptness are critical factors when it comes to your orders. As such, we have adopted measures that will allow our customers to track each transaction from order to delivery. 

Customers will receive a confirmation message via e-mail once the online transaction and credit card payment has been cleared by our payment gateway. If a problem arises with the card you used for payment, you will be requested to use another credit card. If you have problems ordering online, you can call our customer support for assistance.

After the order is processed, an e-mail message confirming your order will be sent to your e mail address. Please hit reply to confirm your order. An Authorization Form will be sent to the customer specifying the products/services purchased, total charges, and an order confirmation number indicating that your order has been successfully placed. Please remember this number, as you will be prompted to key-in this information if you request for a tracking of your order.

If you do not receive an e-mail message shortly after placing your order, there is no need to panic. There are some explanations for such situations. There may have been delays brought about by congestion of Internet traffic. You may have also misspelled an entry you made, resulting in wrong specifics on sent messages. SHIPPING POLICY AND DELIVERY TIME 

How long will the delivery take? 

Delivery will normally take 7 –10 days.

Shipping Policy

Except when indicated otherwise, all products being offered and sold online are delivered within 10 days. 

Shipping Rates will be as follows:

   1. $ 6.00 for the initial pound
   2. $ 2.00 for each succeeding pound.

Rush Orders

We do not provide overnight or next day deliveries. All ordered items will be delivered within ten (10) days from the date of order, credit card approval and address verification. 

Natures Blessing Inc. accepts online orders for delivery to the US and Canada only. To place an international order, kindly email sales@naturesblessings.com.ph 

Delivery is normally to the card holders’ billing address. Delivery instructions to a separate address will require e mail instructions from the card holder.

What other factors may affect the delivery of products/services?

Unless otherwise specified by a posted notice, 

There is a 7 -10 day lead time, from the date the order is placed and approved. Customers are advised to check the shipping schedule for each product/service accordingly. Our customer service will also coordinate with you thru email regarding the delivery of products ordered online. 

In case of extreme weather conditions, earthquakes, national emergencies, and other force majeure conditions, delivery dates might not be fulfilled. Under normal conditions we will adopt all measures to ensure that prompt delivery schedules are followed.

Natures Blessing Inc. has adopted the necessary measures to ensure that online purchasing is easy but secure. Which credit cards can I use for online purchases? 

Natures Blessing Inc. only accepts internationally rated credit cards associated with American Express, MasterCard, Discover and Visa for purchases made locally or abroad.

When will my online purchases be charged to my credit card? 

Natures Blessing Inc. secures the authorization of your credit card at the point of purchase, which is the global standard for online Internet transactions. Whenever problems are encountered in securing credit card authorization, customers will be notified on the spot and prompted to use another card. Upon verification and approval, orders will be completed and transferred securely to Natures Blessing Inc.. The charges will be reflected in your card within 24-48 hours. 

Will I get a breakdown of the charges billed to my credit card? 

After placing your orders online, you will receive an electronic receipt with an itemized summary of your purchase, together with the corresponding delivery charges inclusive of sales tax. Customers are advised to print this document for future reference purposes. Moreover, customers will receive a confirmation receipt of your order via e-mail reflecting the same itemized breakdown. 

What currency will be used for online purchase?
